I’d never really made a good job with indoor plants. I can care about green stuff such as ivy or spider plants. You do not need to spend much time on caring. But the phalaenopsis I keep on my window usually do not bloom much. It might be to dry with the heating under the pots. However, even the dying flowers presents us beauty. I see them as motifs for late autumn days were decay reenters each year anew. It might be a sad beauty, but sadness belongs to us in these days.
When I take my camera and the small light to enrich the colours of the dried out phalaenopsis november turns into full power outside. It keeps raining for days, brown leaves pave the sidewalks and days end early into darkness. This is the time for my tiny indoor studio where I try to remember the colours of bloom on our countryside garden. My photographic dreams comfort me through wintertime. I hope you’ll like it as much as I do.
